I'm drawn to anything handmade, and I have a slightly unhealthy curiosity for learning new crafts.
I tend to jump from one thing to another. One week I'm painting, the next I'm sewing, then suddenly
I'm completely absorbed in paper crafts.
I've never really wanted to choose just one.
I think that's the beauty of being able to create —
that you don't have to.

My name is Maria Aristidou. I was born and raised in Larnaka, Cyprus, where my studio is also based today.
I studied Fine Art — Printmaking at Manchester Metropolitan University and later completed an MA in Arts & Health at the University of Central Lancashire.
But if you asked me what kind of artist I am,
I'm not sure I'd know exactly what to tell you.
And honestly, I quite like that.
